With Valentine’s Day approaching, a heart cake seems like a fitting dessert for a party!
I love this one because it is so easy to create, is kid-friendly, and has so many other applications to it!
Heart Cake Supplies Needed
A large heart cookie cutter (you could, of course, use any other cookie cutter shape to fit your theme!)
A cake (I just used a box cake mix and frosted it)
Sprinkles – Mine came from Walmart
Here is a short tutorial video that shows how easy this is to do:
As you can see, you just take a frosted cake, arrange your cookie cutter in the center of the cake and then start adding sprinkles. Once you have completely covered the space inside the cookie cutter, just remove the cutter and you have a perfectly decorated cake!
To be a little extra, you can always add sprinkles to the side of the cake (see the tutorial here) or just a few more on top like I did.
Want to see more sweets? (They’re my favorite, too.) Check them all out here.
