Grape Flowers

Fruit and Flower arrangement

When it comes to flowers, one of my favorite things to create is a fruit and flower arrangement. To me, the two just go so well together! (See others here!)

I created this arrangement for a church feast that incorporated grapes as a symbol for wine. I had never worked with grapes in an arrangement before, but LOVED how they added a special element to the design.

The only special floral tools you will need for this are floral foam and floral wire.

Shopping list:

  • Stargazer Lilies
  • Purple Alstroemeria
  • Leather Leaf
  • White Roses
  • Green and Red Grapes

To begin the arrangement, you put in the floral foam and then begin to green it with the leather leaf. The next step is to add the lilies. Space them in a “square” shape throughout the arrangement.

Once the base is together, I wired the grapes onto the basket, but tried to make it look like it was coming out of the foam. It was much easier to have them attach to the container than the foam. Trust me. I tried both. Ha.

Lastly, go in and fill in with your alstroemeria and roses and you will have a beautiful arrangement perfect for the center of a table…or an altar at church! Ha!

  1. This is so pretty, Katie. I love the use of the grapes in the arrangement, and you are so sweet to share your talents with the church. Love you, Aunt Angie

    1. Aw! Thanks, Aunt Angie! This is one of my favorite ones I have done for the church! We are actually switching churches now, so won’t be doing any like this anymore! It’s bittersweet!
