DIY Patriotic Cupcakes
My Dollar Tree had the most adorable patriotic party supplies, so I picked up some really fun finds to make some easy DIY Patriotic cupcakes. (They also had really cute plates, napkins, and cups. It’s amazing how quickly you can come out with 30 items you had no idea you needed! Ha!)
The total for these cute little treats came to under $1 a cupcake and are so, so easy to make – zero skills required! These easy cupcakes are perfect for any patriotic party – Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veterans Day or any celebration of our country!
Here are the supplies you need:
- Mini hats from the Dollar Tree (these were 5 for $1). I removed the elastic and staples, to help the look.
- Paper straws (also from the dollar tree and were $1 for 20).
- Star stickers
- Store bought cupcakes (I used red velvet for obvious reasons – ha!)
I have a video below showing how easy these are to put together.
As you can see, you just take the straws and cut them in half, add a star sticker to both sides and then insert them into the cupcakes. (So cute, right?) For your final step, just add the cupcake to the hat and you have an adorable dessert presentation for your celebration of America! Your guests will love it!
