Red, White and Blue Flower Arrangement
For summer holidays I love to do red, white and blue flower arrangements for the church’s altar! This patriotic arrangement would also work great on a buffet or as a centerpiece at a barbecue!
Patriotic Arrangement Shopping List:
- Greenery ($4)
- 3 stems of lilies ($6)
- One dozen red roses ($7)
- 10 Stems of iris ($4)
- One bunch of spray roses ($5)
- Floral Foam ($2)
So the total for this was under $30! For this arrangement, I purchased all of my flowers at Trader Joe’s.
To begin the flower arrangement, start with wet floral foam in the container. After it has soaked in water, place it in your container with about an inch of foam showing so that you can get flowers and greenery in a downward angle. Tape it to the container with floral tape.
I have a video below that shows the arranging process:
How to arrange the Flowers:
I start by greening the container. My next step is to add the lilies. I added one for height in the center and then two later in the container on each side. I then added the irises and spaced them throughout the container. After the irises, I went through and added the roses in between the other flowers and finished it off with the spray roses throughout. I did have some extra grass on hand and added it at the end for a little more whimsy. (Or if you use your imagination, the explosion of fireworks)!
