Easy Appetizer Skewers
This weekend my niece had her first communion and my sister made some easy appetizer skewers that have been in my rotation for years. This will take you less than five minutes to make and will be a hit with both the grownups and kids!
Easy Appetizer Shopping List
- Cheese Tortellini
- Grape or Cherry Tomatoes
- Marinated Mozzerella Balls
- A long toothpick or skewer
- Pesto for dipping
To put this together, you need to quickly bring the cheese tortellini to a boil, but since it is pre-cooked, it gets soft in about a minute to two. Then you just start to layer the items onto the skewer. It is so easy.
I always put a little bowl of heated pesto on the side for people to dip or pour a little over their skewers. It would also be great with a little bit of balsamic glaze drizzled on top, too. My kids love cheese and tortellini…and will tolerate a tomato or two, so this is always a hit with them!
My sister picked up these skewers at Hobby Lobby, but if you are looking for some universal ones, these gold ones are cute and these heart ones would be great for a wedding shower! There are so many fun ideas on Amazon. Toggle through this link for some super adorable ones! I just sent my sister the watermelon ones for my niece’s upcoming birthday party!
