Lucky Charm Treats

Lucky Charms Treat Recipe

When I was thinking about St. Patrick’s Day food, I think about the rainbow, so I decided to use this Lucky Charms Treat Recipe for a special treat! Also, I mean, you can’t go wrong with Lucky Charms. They are pretty awesome on their own. Ha.

To make this, you basically use the same recipe as traditional Rice Krispie Treats, just sub the Rice Krispies for Lucky Charms.

So all you need are:

– 6 cups of Lucky Charms

– 3 Tablespoons of Butter

– 1 package of mini marshmallows

Just melt the butter and min marshallows together, then remove from heat. Stir in the Lucky Charms.

I put mine in an 9×13 pan, so they were a little thinner, but you could put yours in an 8×8 inch pan if you like them thick.

My daughter is actually mildly allergic to oats (I know – the weirdest allergy ever), so I had to sneak these without her seeing….so I pretty much ate the whole pan myself. I have a habit of going back with the knife to make it “even.” And, believe it or not, it never is! (Please tell me I am not alone!) Haaaa!

I saw several variations of this recipe online – some including vanilla extract (1/2 teaspoon) and salt (1/4 teaspoon), which I think would elevate this recipe, but kept it simple to try it as easy as possible. If you do try it with the variations, let me know what you think.
