Easy St. Patrick’s Day dessert
I came across some ideas on Pinterest for an easy St. Patrick’s Day dessert, so I decided to make one as a healthy(ish) option for my kids!
My kids both love fruit, but they also love a fun presentation, so these were a hit in both departments!
Fruit Cup Shopping List
So this requires absolutely no skills (obviously), but here is is what I used per cup:
- Clear plastic 5 ounce tumbler cups
- One large strawberry
- 4 slices of Clementine Oranges
- 1/2 a spear of pineapple cut up
- 4-5 green grapes
- 12-16 blueberries
- 8 mini marshmallows to top
To put these St. Patrick Dessert cups together, I just layered it in the cup starting with the first color of the rainbow on the bottom and then working my way to blue/indigo/violet blueberries at the top. Such an easy way to eat the rainbow! Ha!
Of course, my kids’ favorite part was the marshmallows on top, but whipped cream would work as well.
I have done several parties for my daughter where rainbows were part of the theme (like her Hello Kitty and Unicorn parties), so this isn’t just an easy St. Patrick’s Day dessert – it can be used as a healthy treat for any event!
Also, loving this flower bouquet in the picture? See how to arrange one for your next get together here. I love mixing fruit and flowers together and think that these colors together make a beautiful presentation.
