Brunch and Bubbly
A few weeks ago, my friend Jen from Resolute invited me to a Brunch and Bubbly blogger event that they were hosting with Mediavine at Prairie Brew Pub in Tulsa. She asked me to do the flower arrangements for the event. And since I had a vision in my head, I decided to take it further and create place cards for all of the attendees because I can’t just be normal. Haaaa!
I have a video below of how I created the flower arrangements, but what I love about a theme is how you can take just a few simple touches and personalize the whole event.
I basically just have white flowers and greenery, but the fresh oranges and champagne corks make the flower arrangement fit the theme and add that extra something special.
For this arrangement, I used:
- Container from Hobby Lobby
- One brick of floral foam
- 2 bunches of Eucalytpus
- 9 white roses
- 10 white tulips
- 10 stems of white spray roses
- 3-5 Cuties
- 1 large orange
- 3 champagne corks
As you can see in the video, I greened the container with the greenery by placing it into the wet floral foam, then added the large roses, then the large orange and cuties, then added the spray roses, tulips and ended with the champagne corks.
Orange Place Cards
I am a sucker for a place card, but not so much a sucker for being told where to sit. Lol. So we used these to decorate the mimosa bar and then handed to each guest once they chose where they wanted to sit.
To create these, I just used a leaf template on my computer and added each person’s name with a font. (I colored these in Mediavine’s color.) Then just printed on card stock and cut them out. I used a little pearl tipped straight pin to adhere the leaf to the Cutie and, voila, a simple, but pretty place setting! The hardest part about this was cutting out those leaves! Ha!
