Valentine's Chocolate Tray

Valentine’s Chocolate Tray

Um….this Valentine’s chocolate tray is so easy I don’t even know if it qualifies for a post, buuuuuut I already took the pictures, so I thought I would share it with you anyway. (Insert all of the laughing so hard you are crying emojis here.)

As you know, any food/party idea/craft I do has to be so super simple because, well, I am not naturally great at complicated. (Nor do I have the patience for it.) Ha!

Since I was a little girl, every year at Christmas or Thanksgiving my grandfather would bring a wrapped box of Whitman’s Samplers. My cousin and I would argue over the Strawberry Cream (may it RIP), but every time we get together, we keep the tradition on in memory of my grandfather.

This year at Thanksgiving, we didn’t have a box, so I bought one and, unbeknownst to me, my aunt bought one as well, sooooo….I have been sitting on this Whitman’s box for some time and needed to put it to good use.

So, I thought I would create a little Valentine’s Chocolate Display with them.  As you can see, there isn’t much to this but arranging the chocolates in a heart shape.  I can assure you that even if you don’t consider yourself crafty (neither do I for that matter), you can do this one.

How to put the Chocolate Tray Together

To put this together, I recommend starting at the top. I put the the Molasses Chew on the left middle and the Almond Nougat on the right middle, then worked my way around to create a heart shape.  The Whitman’s Sampler is two layers, so I either matched it up with a chocolate of a similar size as I did the two sides or just took the same chocolate from the layer underneath. I may have eaten one or two for good measure!
