How to Create A Valentine’s Centerpiece
I am so excited to collaborate with my friend Beth of Polka Dots and Picket Fences to bring your our take on How to Create a Valentine’s Centerpiece!
What’s super fun about this collaboration is that we both purchased the same flowers from the grocery store:
- White Hydrangeas
- A dozen pink roses
- One bunch of red tulips
- Some greenery
And each created our own version of a Valentine’s bouquet so that you can get two ideas of how to use the same flowers for your own unique Valentine’s centerpiece!
I have a video below of how I put this together, but took a large empty vase and placed a mason jar with water in it. I then added decorative hearts (I used two bags for this) that I picked up in the Valentine’s section at Hobby Lobby.
After all of the hearts were added to the container, I started adding the flowers to the mason jar.
For me, it is easier to start with a base of greenery, then add my largest flower (in this case the hydrangeas – I had three). I then fill in with the remaining flowers. I started with the roses and then added in the tulips throughout. Just a note, it did become hard to add this many flowers to the mason jar, so next time I would use a larger flower container!
